I go online by the name of "Shinji", though my birth and legal name is "Gabriel".

It is a name that embodies the way through which I want to approach all things in life: true intention. (真志）

It is not a name that I believe should be given upon the birth of one, but a name that one has to eternally strive to earn, pouring both blood and sweat.

After all, even the great and powerful Sun Wukong, who is the fictional character that I love the most, only earned his majestic name

at the end of his trek to the Cave of the Slanted Moon and Three Stars, home of his great teacher, the enigmatic Puti Zushi. 

Though it might not entirely be the case for now, I sincerely hope that one day this name will be truly mine.

No greater thing could be written upon the lone grave I shall leave behind after my death.

I made this website because I have a passion for cultures and languages.

 I spend all my free time immersing myself in languages I strive to learn, engaging in cultures that are foreign to me.

As for other things about myself...

I was born in Montreal and lived all my life in Quebec.

I am now 27 years old and I am a student in International Studies at Laval University.

I chose to dedicate this website to the goddess Sarasvati because she has always fascinated me and because I feel as though she symbolizes everything that this website is about: culture and languages.

Though she also represents other things, such as truth, fortune, wisdom, knowledge...
